Dark, disturbing and yet totally addictive.This is a difficult read, it really is, in the past I've read 'Fifty Shades' and a whole host of books of a similar vein but I have never read anything quite like this and I actually wonder sometimes why I'm still reading it, it's kind of like watching a horror film through your fingers you don't want to watch but you can't fully look away.It's hard to get across just how harrowing and disturbing this book is at times and it's most likely because we're witnesses to the change as it slowly happens, Lucy is literally changing before our eyes and it's not an easy thing to experience as she's slowly moulded into the perfect little Stepford wife for Max.The other books I've read have involved pain and bondage, you know the type I mean but this is on a whole different level this is a total takeover of her life and she's willingly going ahead with it and I just can't get my head around why and maybe that's partly why I'm struggling so much. We watch her change before our eyes, every time we meet her she seems to have lost a little more of herself while she strives to become Max's perfect little girl.But I can't help myself I'm totally addicted and I've already downloaded 'True Choice' and 'True Control 4.1' and 'True Control 4.2' so there's no end in sight for my self inflicted torture.
